Lacey Gibasiewicz of Herminie, PA has well over twenty years of dance experience and ten years of teaching. After winning several national titles and awards in her younger years, Miss Gibasiewicz went on to receive her undergraduate degree at Slippery Rock University earning her BA in Dance. While attending college, Miss Gibasiewicz was involved in many different groups on campus such as: Fredrick Douglas Leadership Club, Afro-Columbian Dance Ensemble, Co-Caption/Member of Dance Express, Honorary Member/Social Chair of Sigma Rho Delta, Student Director of SRUs Saturday Morning Dance Classes, and Co-Student Director of Rock Dance Company: a repertory lecture-demonstration group that focused on dance interactions with children at the secondary education level. She was also cast in many faculty and guest artist pieces throughout her four years. Some of the artist Lacey had the privilege of working under are: Chad Hall, Jennifer Keller, Gwen Hunter Ritchie, Mark Taylor, Pearl Ann Porter, Teena Custer, Ursula Payne, Thom Cobb, and Natalie Desch of Doug Varone Dance Company. At the end of Lacey’s Senior year, she was awarded with the Outstanding Teacher Plaque. Since graduating, Lacey has had the opportunity to work with, the California University Dance Tea, Yough Dance Team, RMU Dance Team, MT. Pleasant Cheer Squad and several local dance studios; including Dance Dynamics where she is the head instructor and specializes in hip hop, jazz, contemporary, modern, and creative dance. Lacey would like to thank her parents for allowing her to develop such a love for the arts and for always being her biggest fans.
